THE CORE STUDENT MINISTRIES

Middle: 12yrs-14yrs
High: 15yrs-17yrs
College: 18yrs-21yrs

Throughout the year, we offer different community events to keep each student growing in an authentic community with their peers. We believe by creating a healthy environment, our students will establish relationships with their leaders and peers that will be guard rails for their lives.

IN-PERSON SERVICES WE OFFER:

  • SUNDAY SERVICE:  We encourage students to come and be involved in serving weekly during our Sunday Services at 10:45 am.
  • SUNDAY AFTERNOON YOUTH DISCIPLESHIP/DRAMA/PRAISE TEAM MEETINGS:  We meet on Sunday afternoons beginning at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Our youth leaders are devoted to guiding students in spiritual growth in their talents and gifts and being a sounding board for discussion.
  • WEDNESDAY YOUTH SERVICE:  We meet on Wednesday nights with live worship led by our Core Youth Praise Band, beginning at 6:30 pm.
  • THE CORE BONDFIRES: Once a month gathering outside the church to socialize with youth alike, engage in a small group devotional, and learn about what really matters to you and your faith.

CORE STUDENT LEADERSHIP:

  • Our Youth Pastors invite high/college students interested in growing as student ministers to attend the informational meeting. At that point, we'll walk them through the basic mission of our youth ministry, explain why we run things in youth group the way we do, talk about the Bible's teaching about spiritual gifts and the body of Christ, and let them ask questions.
  • Once assigned to a student leadership role, we explain expectations for each student who joins the "Core Student Ministry Teams" and hold them to specific commitments that help form a sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • We believe it's important to give student ministers meaningful responsibilities, such as planning an event, choosing the activities, and having a say in how we run our youth programming.

We believe that all services are valuable independently, but together are transformational for our students!
