WHO WE ARE

Whether you have been a Christian a long time, you are new to faith, or you are searching for answers to life’s biggest questions, we started this church with you in mind. To help you learn more about who we are, we have compiled a list of statements and phrases that shape our culture and values as a church.

OUR MISSION:

NWC IS A LIFESTYLE TRANSFORMATIONAL CENTER DEDICATED TO HELPING THE LOST BACK TO CHRIST. WE BELIEVE IN THE FRESH START PROMISE OF 2 COR 5:17. WE STRIVE TO BE A FAMILY OF DEDICATED BELIEVERS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE, EQUIP AND SEND FORTH BELIEVERS FOR THE BUILDING OF THE LORD'S KINGDOM.

OUR VISION:
We are building a sanctuary, where every person is known for their Christlike mind, We will WORSHIP. GROW. and SERVE TOGETHER. YOUR NEW BEGINNING STARTS HERE!!!

  • WORSHIP. (Spiritual Life)
Worship at NWC is prayed over and sought after! It's contemporary and performed with excellence and passion.

  • GROW. (Ministries)
The wisdom and instruction in the Bible is every bit as relevant today as it was when first written. Clear and compelling teaching makes it useful and helpful for living today. We hold a MID-WEEK DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM on Wedenesdays @ 7:00PM. The goal of these Wednesday classes is to transform disciples so that our minds and hearts are renewed and our hands ready to engage the world. We want to help you get established in the faith and equipped to live it out in everyday life. We also host Membership Classes, Next Steps, and Growth Groups for all ages.

  • SERVE. (Outreach)
Whether you’re outgoing or quiet, there are fantastic opportunities to serve with teams that will be a great fit for you. You’ll meet new friends and grow in your relationship with Jesus when you start serving. We primarily do outreach through our Community Outreach Groups and partnerships such as REACHOUT, INC (RESOURCE CENTER & COMMUNITY OUTREACH)  as well as at our services through Fresh Impressions, Prayer & Usher Teams.

  • TOGETHER. (Community)
Let's face it: life today is not always easy. There's some really hard stuff that happens. But you don't have to do life alone. There are many ways that you can get connected to what is happening at NWC! Learn what it means to be part of God’s family and uncover the unique gifts you bring to His church.
OUR VALUES:

Core values are the guiding principles that dictate our behavior and actions to the mission. At NWC, you won't be met with shame, guilt, or condemnation. No matter what you’ve been through or what questions you might have, our church is a place where you'll find the grace, mercy, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH:

NWC believes the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired and that it is the written Word of God. Our denomination, The Church of God, has adopted the following Declaration of Faith as its standard and official expression of its doctrine.

WE BELIEVE

  • In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.

  • In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

  • That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

  • That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.

  • That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

  • In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.

  • Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.

  • In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.

  • In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

  • In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

  • Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

  • In the Lord’s Supper and washing of the saints’ feet.

  • In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.

  • In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
